Photographers: How to prepare for a wedding the night before

I was about to start an OCD list for myself in Microsoft Word,

but then I thought, maybe I can make this a blog post as well and maybe another photographer will find this useful?! (I don't know, tell me in the comments!)

I'm sure, I'll probably come back to this list more than a few times to edit,

because well....I know myself pretty well!

So anyways here are some things to double check the night (or two!) before a wedding:

(Some may be personal to just me)

  • Charge all 3 Camera Batteries (Even if they are not "dead")
  • Charge all rechargeable Flash Batteries
  • Format and Clear all SD cards, pack extras
  • Charge cell phone (Duh, right!)
  • Clean Lenses
  • Check camera settings
  • Sync ALL cameras together (Make sure your second does too)
  • Print extra copies of wedding timeline for the day
  • Pack Clients folder. Invites.
  • Pack business cards.
  • Pack snacks and water in cooler. Put in car
  • When will you leave? Determine time and consider traffic
  • Check in with 2nd and Assistants
  • Go over the timeline of events
  • Input addresses into GPS
  • Pack wagon and large tote into car trunk
  • Canon 6D Camera Body
  • Canon 5dMarkiii Camera Body
  • Canon 85mm 1.2 Lens
  • Sigma 35mm Art Lens
  • Canon 24-70mm Lens
  • Spider Holster and parts (May change to Hold Fast very soon!)
  • Extra Batteries for 1) Camera 2) Flashes 3) Purple "Extra Battery" Holder
  • Think Tank Airport Navigator

For now, I think this is everything! See something I might of missed? Comment below!
