Cleaning Out the Office and I Find This....

A moment that stops you dead in your tracks...

This is part of my 2017 goals. Tonight, I was cleaning out the office space in hopes to find motivation to get some things done around here. I'm talking, I am NOT thinking twice and just going to throw it away. Have I used this in the last year...nope, GARBAGE! (Insert serious face!) I pull out this random bag out of my dresser that I have in my closet here used to store craft supplies and what not....oh yeah I am purging this baby....talk to you in 5 years! I'm sorting through and then I find this......

My Grandpa, who passed away two years ago. Now, I will admit we were not as close as I would have liked to be (mainly because they moved to Florida) but I am close with my Dad, and this hurts my heart to see. It hurts my heart that my Dad was so close with his Father and he lost his best friend. It hurts like hell. I apologize for the cell phone pic OF photos, but my point is this. My goal for 2017, and one thing I have in the works is to switch to In Person Sales (IPS) and move past and NO LONGER offer (what we call "Shoot and burn") JUST digitals delivered to an online gallery. I miss ALL your reactions doing so and that is the BEST part for me, so for 2017 I have some things in the works.....back to this moment right here....

In this moment right here, sitting in my office looking at this pictures...I don't even care about the quality, I don't care that they are a bit blurry.....my grandpa is in these photos AND he is interacting with my son when he was younger (chokes back tears) THIS is what I want for my clients. THIS is why we invest in Photography. We invest in the MOMENTS!!!! I will forever cherish these photos. I didn't think I had ANY photos of my grandpa....this is why I started my photography journey. I never had the photos from my childhood. All the ones my mom ever had, were ruined in a basement flood. Don't let that happen, document your life and all the memories. You never know when it may be their last photo.
